Is there a medical problem called car buckle or something? Something that is a read lump and then 'comes to head' and you can go to the doctor to get the puss out?
I have this lump on the back of my neck. Someone I know said it looks like a car buckle or something. ...?
What you are talking about is a carbunkle. Basically, it is like a boil, but is usually larger. It is usually caused by a bacterial infection. You should probably go into the doctor to have it looked at. Sometimes they have to be opened and drained in order to get better.
Reply:Carbuncle - infected hair follicles, I think. Here's a link to Medline, and they'll tell you about it. My own take is that you would want to get it hot and wet - wet washcloth - perhaps a heating pad. I bet it's a staph infection and staph bugs don't like high heat - so cook it good. Then bring it to a head and squash it and get the garbage out of the inside.
But it can also be a kickass case of acne - that seems to like the backs of people necks. And that would have another treatment. Seems like they have medicine for that these days.
