Underbust corsets?

okay, so for Halloween I'm going as Anna Valerious from Van Helsing [yes, I plan ridiculously early]. For anyone familiar with the movie and character, you can see why I'd ask. The shirt I can manage easily, pants, no prob. The boots.. eh. I'll get them online. But the underbust corset she has and the jacket I'm slightly iffy.. Does anyone know any good places to look? It has to be moderatly priced as well.. I'm not thinking I'll be able to find too many with all the leather and studs adn buckles, but I could add that after I get one. Any suggestions? Or like, possibly even patterns for someone near mental incompetance [I'm bad with sewing things..]?

My friend has one and she got hers from Value Village for $7


Try different Thrift Store, and if you cannot find any there, look at a place like La Senza or La Vie En Rose, they usually have corsets like that, or a Gothic shop (not sure what they are called, or where to find them).


But hey, if no luck there, you can try ebay! You have alot of time to spare and it probably wont be that much.

There are some other underbust corsets there, as well, but I didn't think they'd work as well. Browse around, though. Maybe I missed one that would work well for you.





The jacket will be harder. You might have to see if a friend who's good at sewing could make it for you out of red velveteen, or find one online that's similar and then modify it.

Reply:Take a look at some of the goth or fetish sites. Many will have underbust corsets or waist cinches.
