how can he select a player now plying his trade in a joke of a league in america its a slap in the face for all the rest of the squad what do you think? is he just panicking
Is macaren now buckling under public pressure to recall beckham?
He's had his day, time to move on.
Reply:Yes, you are correct. McClaren is cracking under pressure as his team has not performed in their last few games without Beckham. There are calls from the England fans, who initially wanted him off, and now feels that Beckham needs to be back with the England team. And now some even said Eriksson is a better manager. Have they forgotten Eriksson brought Walcott to the WC, but did not play him at all? How forgetful they can be. If Beckham is back, it is going to be the similar team that Eriksson had assembled for the 2006 World Cup, so it shows how limited McClaren is. McClaren is not able to perform with his new team due to his limited knowledge in tactics and should be replaced. The FA is clueless not to replace him as they do not want to be embarassed with the appointment of McClaren and Eriksson. Beckham is already past his prime, and is only interested in getting himself famous and earning as much money when he still can, that's why accepting the multi-million dollar move to the US League. The manager should search for other players to replace Beckham and prove to others that he has what it takes to be England's manager.
Reply:he should buckle his shoes and buckle off down the road i say
Reply:Has Steve McLaren been sacked in and this Macaren person taken his place?
Reply:You are factually incorrect. DB is not currently plying his trade in a joke league in America....he is still and has been playing for Real Madrid. He is doing very well also, one of the best players for their club. Without beckham, mighty ENGLAND would not have qualified for the last world cup, so some facts before you put your questions usually helps....And before you ask..NO i dont idolise beckham, I do respect him as a player and as a captain, and I actually like the new hairstyle but my life does not revolve around him or his family. I think SMc has to get the papers off his back and if bringing david back for a friendly game at Wembly for what some might say was a final appearance may just do that......Ohhh what will happen if david gets a goal.......what will FFFrank and his ugly bum chum mate JT make of that, get rid of those two then you wont need david in the team to hold it together....coz JT cant do it, not a national level.
Reply:I hope McClaren will recall Becks. He is still good enough to represent Engand and his crosses, free kicks and corners are different gravy.
The England midfield should be - from right to left - Beckham, Gerrard, Hargreaves, J. Cole.
Where is Lampard you might ask. For some reason Gerrard and Lampard don't work together and Gerrard is more of a driving force that Lampard.
Hargreaves might bed substituted for Carrick - it depends on the form on the day.
Reply:Beckham is still good enough to play for England.
Maclaren made a big mistake dropping him and I don't expect him to last long.
Although Beckham is making money in the states, he doesn't really need it and is doing it to highlight the wonderful game and create more interest.
Even on the back of poor performances he should still be in the squad (he has the skills, experience and determination to get his form back) and his work rate and crossing of the ball cannot be beaten by anyone in my opinion.
Just look at his stats for completed passes in games....etc....
Manchester United have only just won the league now.....they missed him more than they realised they would!!!
I AM A BIG FAN (AS YOU CAN TELL.)
and i can't stand his replacement at United!!! he will never be as good or as charming as BeckhamXXXXXXXXX
Reply:David who? I vaguely remember him from when he was good-England and the English press do this all the time-Heavens above they'll want Kevin Keegan and Psycho Pearce back next-move on!
Reply:Oi Jude who rattled your cage about JT!! He is by far the best CB in England and would die for the cause... unlike some who pull on the shirt. With regards to Beckham he is currently still playing for Real Madrid and despite their manager saying that he was finished he has earnt a recall and is playing really well. Not bad for someone who's career is 'finished'. Without Becks in the second half of the season Madrid would not be top of the table... it is no coincidence that Ruud Van Nistelrooy has scored far more goals since Beckhams return that when he was being left out. England at the moment are crying out for his delivery and passing vision. Ok its not a long term option but we are in danger of not qualifying for the next major championships. If Becks can help us do that then what a fitting way for him to go out!
Reply:Why not,we have all the other so called top players playing for us,at least he looks proud to wear an england shirt. There is not player that deserves to play for england more than him,he gave everything and the way he was treated was a sham.I am not a supporter of any team whatsoever i am only an england fan,and the only way we will get somewhere is if we bring him back, with him the team will get a lift and may actually win something
As for your comment about greed, are the other players not greedy then? only how can they demand such a big wage deal when after all when all said and done its a game and thats it.Not one of the players deserve the money they earn/(get) from football, they are all greedy, and its just that beckham and worth more to the press hence thats why he is payed more.Surely if you were in his position you would go where the money is aswell
