Go to a rental place on a damp day(it buckle more then) and ask for a carpet strecher. It has claws to hold te carpet and a pad for you to hit it with your knee. You lift the carpet off the nail strips along the wall. You put your weight on the claw and knee the crap out of it. then you restick the carpet down to the nail strips that run along the wall.
