What is a buckle in dentistry?

Buccal is one of the five surfaces of your posterior, or back, teeth. You can feel it with your tongue if you place it between your teeth and your cheek... the buccal side of the tooth is the surface that touches the inside of your cheek.

If you heard the term buccal, chances are you have decay, or a cavity, on the buccal surface...it's no biggie..

It can also mean the inner surface of your cheek, such as the "buccal" mucosa. Shop talk!
Reply:It is Buccal and it is one of the surfaces of the tooth. (It is the side closest to the cheek on the posterior teeth ie: bicuspids and molars) On anterior teeth this surface is called Facial or Labial
