If the tamponading effect of the buckle is not needed already then it can be removed. Your doctor is a retina specialist and he would know when to and when not to remove the buckle. Two months is fairly a long time since your surgery and if the operation was a success, the retina would be attached and the chances of re-detachment would be minimal.
Reply:I would ask the doctor, not we Bozos in here! Only the Doctor you saw knows what is best for your situation!
Reply:is there any subretinal fluid left ? how many tears did you have ? is there secretions in the eye ?
