If you brought pants in for alterations, are you supposed to tip them?

No, because they recieve a wage as well as commission. They are not required to report the tips as income, any are probably not allowed to accept them. The best tip would be to ask to speak with the manager, and tell him or her how great the salesperson was. If you really want to make their day, call the corporate comment number and tell them how great the associate was.
Reply:I would say no since its part of their job (im sure they get compensated for it in their salary)...however, i am sure that tips are always welcome!
