i always go by william. my apologies to those that answer to Bill, but i always thought it was a redneck-sounding name. i picture guys named Bill with cowboy hats, belt buckles the size of small plates, and a little river of chewing tobacco spit oozing down their chins. i think William is a more dignified name. agree or disagree?

I have a beautiful white Guess handbag - not 100% sure of the exact fabrics it's made of but it's a mix of material, leather (if it is leather), and also has big silver buckles on it. Only problem is, the white material has clearly got stains on it now. If I took it to a dry cleaners would they be able to do it for me?? Thanks!

Have you tried cleaning it yourself, first? It saves a lot of money. Try checking your bag's tags, because they usually have cleaning instructions.

This equation cannot be solved exactly by algebra but since we assume the angle is small it is reasonable to replace sinA by its approximation of A - (A^3)/6 (only in radians).

2 Yes, the result is surprising, but that doesn't make it wrong.

Old fashioned railway tracks were laid in short stretches with gaps between them for precisely this reason. Modern track uses longer lengths but it is fixed down very securely so that although it wants to expand it can't. I have seen photographs of old track which experienced freak hot weather. It had buckled into a very curly S shape and that's with a lot less than a mile length.

C=2πr

(1 foot)*2=2πr

Reply:look online at places such as ebay and overstock. This is where i have seen many purses. I am a guy but for a while i bought and sold purses. also if you live in a big city thier open air markets usually have good purses either fake or no name brand for a fairly reasonable price.

Well at my school fair we have each year..we have this ride called the Gravatron spelled something like that anyways..Well its this ride..were you stand up on a red mat..and theres no buckles or saftey thiny ma bobs, and when it starts to spin faster and faster! That seats fly up lol, and u cant move AT ALL! O_O why is that? lol

That is a Gravitron. They are becoming increasingly less common. What is holding you in is a high g-force (also why you feel heavier in that type of ride when it is in motion) created by the spinning motion. You can actually "stand up" (on the red mat you are supposed to "lie" on) at a nearly horizontal angle without falling.
Reply:yeah its the force. Like...when u have a bucket of water and you spin it upside down fast enough the water is forced to stay in. Or like a roller coaster in a loop....only instead of vertical, this is horizontal.

Gravitrons were once VERY popular rides. They still are but now we see less of them and carnivals seem to become less of a big thing then they used to be in like...the 90s-
Reply:It is called Inertia [pronounced in er sha] and as long as the ride continues to spin in the same rotation you stay there but say if it hit a bump or moved out of that rotation you would fall. You can do it with a bucket of water fill it 1/4 way and swing it around [like over your head up and down not side to side] if you do it right the water will not spill at all. It's taught in PHYSICS. Here is the definition:

The tendency of a body to resist acceleration; the tendency of a body at rest to remain at rest or of a body in straight line motion to stay in motion in a straight line unless acted on by an outside force.

Reply:the answers above are all correct...im in the amusement industry and have been around this ride my entire life. when i was a kid i used to wait and ride it with just a few friends and after the ride got going we all shifted our bodies around until we were upside down....just remember to always shift back around as the ride is slowing down or else u will end up on ur head!

Bronze bits/ heavy bits?

I've got a loose ring snaffle that's made out of bronze. Does anyone know the purpose of the bronze? Are these bits used for a certain reason? I got it to match my bridle with bronze buckles etc, but I figured before I switched I should ask what the purpose of the bronze is. I know that copper is supposed to make them slobber more, and I don't want to accidentally use a bit that has other purposes other than just being a bit.

Also is there a reason that the bit would be heavier than normal bits? Will this effect my horse at all?

a lot of bits are made from bronze but are usually chromed or german nickle plated..bronze is actually a good material for bits and have been made out of bronze for thousands of years..however it is heavy but this can be a good thing and it also oxidises leaving a dark green patina that will have to be cleaned often but when it is clean it looks like gold..i have bronze flatwear i use everyday...

EDIT: bronze is actually harder and stronger than wrought iron and was used for weapons and tools..
Reply:As long as you have soft and loose hands, a bronze bit won't hurt your horse.

Bronze bits are heavier, so if you have unsteady hands, or hit your horses teeth a lot, don't use it.

However, if your hands are good, the bit will be heavier, so it will settle the weight along his mouth nicely.
Reply:Bronze is a soft metal, are you sure that is what it is made of as I dont think it would be very safe. If it is made of Aurigan or German silver it is actually a form of copper amalgam and its purpose is to create a different chemical reaction to steel in the horses mouth, which is why they tend to salivate more freely. Aurigan or KK bits are technologically advanced and scientifically designed to be of optimum comfort and effect. The weight of a bit has an effect on the horses performance, we have heavier bits because they sit more securely across the bars and are not so easily caught up in the corner teeth by the horse. A very delicate araby type would not be as comfortable in a heavier bit as the warmblood competition horse that it was designed for. If your bit is indeed bronze then do be aware that as a soft metal it will be prone to wearing at the edges , and is possibly unsafe for serious usage. I have never seen a bronze bit for sale in the UK.
Reply:Watch out for heavier snaffles...I've seen really heavy ones and the horses disliked them; they'll shake their heads and get banged in the mouth....some of the working cow horse trainers have no use for them for the very same reason......

Reply:That all depends on what kind of injury you have.... if you shattered your patella then you might need pins and screws or even a total knee replacement. If you have torn cartilage or ligaments then you'll need what they call a knee arthroscopy.

Weird Pain?!?

For the 3 day in the past 4 or 5 days I occassionally get this SHOOTING pain! It's located right along my underwear/bikini line, like where my leg meets my body. It hurts so bad my leg actually buckles and I cry out! It only happens a couple times a day. I am 38 weeks pregnant. Anyone heard of this before or had this experience? Is it just the way the baby is sitting?

Reply:Hey there, if it's in the back, down your buttocks it is probably your sciatica nerve. Babies put lots of pressure on them the last few weeks as they get so big they don't have anywhere to go. Sometimes it can last for hours, a hot bath might help soothe it.

If it's in the front, about one inch in from your pelvic bone on either side it might be the pressure on your groin is causing a slight herniation (most likely inguinal).

Definitely mention to your doc... especially if in front, he might want to watch it after the birth to see if you need surgery. Also, if it's on the right side in front he may want to make sure your appendix aren't acting up.

ok so i am just wondering if i can call the poliece on a person who doesn't put their three year in a car seat nor even buckles them in and lets them pull on the door handle when a child safey isn't on. this kid is going to fall out of the car! or something just as terrible. i want to know if i do call the poliece can they do anything about it or do they have to catch the parent in the act? I think this is a form of neglect, neglecting the childs safety!

Oh yeah they claim they don't put the 3 year old in the car seat because he screams and throws a fit whenever they do. that is just stupid to me. i think its safe to say they shouldn't have bred in the first place.

Yup, you're right, it is neglect....unfortunately in America, a person needs a license to drive a car, needs registration to vote, but ANY idiot can conceive a child.

Try to encourage your friend to use the car seat and if that doesn't work call child services. I hate to encourage snitching, but if something happens to the child, you'll never forgive yourself.

Reply:I'd say go ahead! It is extremely dangerous for the child to be out of the seat, especially with pulling on the handle. Atleast tell the police...they should keep an eye out. Those parents need to learn how to discipline their child, and the child is going to have to learn.

Reply:You can call the police and ask them if they have to be caught in the act. Just ask to speak to an officer about a case of child endangerment and the police can tell you more about what the requirements are to prosecute a case. Also you can call child services and report them there. PLEASE do something! You can't just wait until it's too late and then say "I told you so".

If I knew they were on route from A to B, I'd call and report that a car with that description was traveling on whatever road with a child unrestrained, etc.

what type of les. am i? cuz i've been hearin a lot bout butch, femme, soft butch, tomboy, etc...im not all that into labels, but im just curious to see what i'd be considered...

Personally, I never vote for anyone unless they've served as governor. Bill Clinton was a good candidate. Currently, Bill Richardson of New Mexico, Huckabee of Arkansas, and Mitt Romney are the governors running for office, and of the three, I prefer Richardson (even though I'm an obvious conservative).

Keep in mind that when the President of the United States buckles under pressure to foreign leaders, Americans suffer, usually monetarily. We need the strongest possible leader, especially considering that some world leaders are tyrants.

Seriously it seems that at least 3/4 of the people on here are anti-sex. Every time a sex question comes up most people say it's wrong outside of marriage or you shouldn't before you're at least 18. I don't know anyone in my personal life who feels that way except for my parents. Is Yahoo Answers being overrun with Puritans? Do you people all run around in black hats with buckles? I just don't get it. I'm 15 years old and I have a healthier view of sex than most people on here. Sex is enjoyable and there's nothing wrong with it. Also everyone always mentions STD's and pregnancy right away. Have you people heard of condoms? You can have sex safely if you use your brain. Am I the only one who's really irritated with these answers?

Alot of people out there have kids b4 their ready and the child always end up suffering. Alot of women have 3 kids by 3 different fathers. peoples view of the world generally changes quiet a lot between the age 14 and 21 ... take it from someone who has "been there, done that, got the t-shirt" and especially the view of things like sex and relationships. I am not sure I know anyone who thinks sex is not fun but a grown up view puts it in the right place and right time with the right person. most people can spot the really bad cases but I personally know smart, careful people who have got really burned when things went wrong. also check the "age of consent" laws for your area carefully ... you might well find that having sex at 15 is illegal, like it or not (and if you pay attention to the news you will realize that the consequences can be unreasonably harsh, like it or not)

bottom line is ... it sounds like people are giving good advice, whether or not you like it is another story.

This being said, things go wrong when you have sex. Not often, but they do here and there. A condom works most of the time, but they do break, which can lead to a number of problems, which you are undoubtedly aware of. Most of those problems are not things you should or can deal with at your age.

Condoms will also do nothing to prevent a handful of STD's. I know what it's like to be a teen. Don't get me wrong. When I was younger, I thought that STD's always happen to some distant person. Well, a friend of mine got HIV while we were in college. He was generally very safe, and how he got it, we don't know. Obviously no one I know will confess to having HPV or HSV2, but statistically speaking, A LOT of people I know have both. You cannot prevent either with a condom. While neither will kill you, both are a nuissance, and one of them can lead to cancer which can sterilize or kill you, or both, in that order.

If you are going to be sexually active, for pete's sake get on the pill. Condoms will only prevent you from getting knocked up for so long.

One more thing. Keep in mind that you are, in fact, a teenager. That means, matter of factly, that your hormones are still going nuts. This has been shown to affect decision making skills, mood swings, and aggression. While you may think that this doesn't apply to you, be conscious of the fact, that everyone, as a teenager, does not have as good judgement as they will have 10 years down the road.

You can safely disregard all the fundies on here as they have other motives for telling you what they do. But make sure that you are well versed on what you are doing, and the statistics if you plan on having sex.

I am going out to dinner and the club tonight with my fellow co workers for a small Christmas celebration (we all work at a bar and can't get together on weekends) Anyway, I have a purple sweater dress and these fab purple gator style shoes with two gold buckles one on the front and one on the side. I am wearing a long gold chain and gold earings and it is cold here in Boston so I want to wear tights.. I bought these really cute pair of pink high heels. My mom told me that I should wear them around to get use to them, so i did. The next day, she told me to wear them again. My mom has been forcing me to wear my heels for 3 days, she says "you need to break them in" but my feet hurt so bad, she's even gone to the point where if i try to take them off, she puts little diary locks on the buckles to keep me from unbuckling them. Your opinion??

she is going a bit overboard. it seems like she is upset about you buying the heels and wants to teach you a lesson. just doesnt seem like it to me that she really wants to break you into your new heels. either way, you have to tell her how you feel and that your feet are killing you, so that she will stop forcing you to "break them in"

But Hun, I have to say I believe that your mother may have taken this a bit too far with the locks. I don't know what she is trying to prove but that is bordering on abuse when your feet are in that much pain and she is quite literally locking you into your footwear. Have you tried to explain to her that your feet are in sever pain? You might also let her know that where heels for too many days in a row can cause damage to your arches, ankles and your knees. Anyone ever broke there femur and have knee injuries too? did full range of motion come back in leg?

i was in a car wreck, broke my femur and messed up my knee, right now i can only bend my knee so far and it hurts, im supposed to have surgry on my knee soon to have ligiments repaired, when i stand on my leg , my knee buckles, will the knee surgry fix my knee and give me my full range of motion back?

A friend of mine broke his humorous, and had the same problem with his elbow. He eventually got full motion back and was back to lifting weights after a year. After some physical theropy, you should be ok.
Reply:It might, but your physical therapist is really what is going to help you. My husband was in a car accident as well and it wasnt until he had physical therapy that is range of motion is actually better then this other leg.

Reply:I was in auto accident 15 yrs ago broke my femur , dislocated my knee smashed my knee cap and damaged ligaments in my knee as well stretched 2 and snapped 1...after over 20 operations on my leg I am still left with an unstable knee that gives way without warning and intense pain most days..my range of movement in my knee joint is approx 95 degrees if I try forcing it further than this the pain is strong enough to make me black out ( the knee has been forced past 95 degrees often as I fall when it gives out) as for saying if the surgery will fix your knee I am sorry but only time will tell ...I wish you all the best and hope that your luck is better than mine was..

I’ve always felt more comfortable as a girl. I think I got my need to dress as little girl from my mother. When I was little she used to make me dress in girls clothes. One day when I was 7 and had been naughty, she took me upstairs and made me undress. She laid out a full petticoat which despite its size seemed very light. These clothes had all been worn by my older sister Susan when she was a little girl, and as I was about to find out, would now fit me perfectly. What I didn’t realise was that my mother desperately missed having a little girl around the house, and was using my ‘punishment’ as an excuse to put me into dresses.

As she lifted the petticoat it billowed out. There were several layers of lace-edged net and the innermost layer was made of silk. I was at first been too stunned to say anything. ‘You must be joking, I’m not going to wear that!’ I exclaimed as my mother shook out the dress. It was a pretty yellow satin party dress with oodles of frills and lace. It had puff sleeves, was very short and fastened at the back with a broad satin sash. ‘You have no choice my lad,’ my mother said evenly. ‘Besides, you never know, you just might find that you actually like it,’ she said fondly. Suddenly curious to see just what my mother had in mind, I decided to go along with the game of dressing up for the moment without protest.

My mother then took out a pair of pale yellow satin panties which matched the dress. At the front of the waist was a tiny satin bow, while the rear was covered with layers of lace-trimmed ruffles. Smiling as I put my feet into them, she slid the panties all the way up my legs. She made sure that they were snugly tucked in at the front and fluffed up the ruffles at the back so that they stuck out over each other.

Then it was time to put on my petticoat. Holding it down low she said ‘Come along, in you get.’ I reluctantly stepped into it, and my mother quickly pulled it up over my hips. Then, standing behind me, she tightened the waist cord and tied it in a non slip double bow behind me. ‘Good’ she smiled, ‘Now for your feet.’ She sat me down on the bed, and after opening another draw, pulled on to my feet a pair of white ankle socks that she turned down neatly. Over my ankle socks she slid a pair of white leather sandals with buckles at the side onto my feet, and strapped them on firmly.

She told me to stand up, and while I put my head and arms into it, she placed the dress over my head before she pulled it down over me. One by one she fastened the small pearl buttons at the back of the dress, closing the bodice firmly around me, and then tied the wide sash into a large neat bow behind my back. She was right, with the give on the smocking it fitted me perfectly. I caught sight of himself in a full-length mirror. The dress had been short to start with, but the layers of petticoat raised the edge by several more inches. The slightest movement resulted in the petticoats swaying and rustling as the layers moved against each other. With my bobbed hair, I could easily have been taken for a girl. Reply:It's like this. The body is a computer in two versions. The male and female. Then there are society rules and society regulations and acceptance; which dictates how the male and female should live their lives. This influences how a male presents himself and a female herself.

That coupled with influence (ie a mother putting her son in a dress to 'punish' him) has a very deep effect. One of the reasons being is the person has a self-image, an ego that is shaped by the influences growing up and people that have affected them. So a part of you knows the average guy doesn't wear a dress and it confuses the sexual program, it confuses identity etc...difficult to explain...it can be justified by the explaining to yourself it wasn't your decision, so it has been allowed.

The body computer over its life time creates lots of programs that run within it. These programs affect your personality, how you speak, how you act, your perceptions of this world, others perceptions of you in this world etc. You have created a dress program, not through your own initial desires but because you were forced into creating it, you now know what it is like; there is escapism along with other factors.

This dress program can then get associated and confused with other programs so one executes the other. Ie women that are dominant makes you submissive because that is how you have decided it is.

In order to deal with the situation, ie you have to explain it, you had to decide you liked it. You can decide you were forced into it. Whilst there isn't anything wrong with it, I myself think that you are training your computer to run the feminine programs more than the masculine ones.

Then you have had a life that has encouraged the feminine programs to run more than the masculine ones, to the point you could be persuaded even to change your sex.

It's a tricky answer this one. You see to be totally free you have to be who you are. Do what you want to do as long as not hurting others. If you deny who you are and what programs you have created, then your computer goes haywire.

YOU have to decide who you want to be and how you want to be and work on those goals. Even if you still dress you could cut down etc. Never deny who you are (it doesn't work and you start dressing again), but you do need a compromise to fit in with society. Or you can go out being totally who you want, but it would be difficult as not everyone can understand your need to be who you are or accept who you are. Don't let yourself be given a label to live up to, decide for yourself who you want to be. IMHO, your mum has shaped your personality in a way that suited her, now work out how you want to shape it to suit you.

People tend to think within the rules dictated to them. It is people's perceptions and what programs they have inherited that keep everyone all closed off to new experiences. Especially the program 'I am worried what people think of me!".

Whats wrong with my knee?

Well I injured my knee while playing basketball a few weeks ago, I dont know what happened, I was standing about to turn and make a cut when I heard a pop and felt intense pain in my left knee. I didnt go to the hospital or anything I just rested it. My knee doesnt hurt that much, it doesnt hurt when I walk, just once in a while it would sting. Whats worrying me is every time I put pressure on it I feel my knee being really unstable, it buckles inward when leaning on my left leg. Also once in a while it feels like my leg from the knee down wont move with my body. Its like when I spin or move to my left, my leg sort of twists at the knee, my foot is still pointing straight but I am facing to my left. Can anyone tell me whats wrong any help would be appreciated.

Reply:Definitely sounds like you have torn your ACL, Anterieur crucial ligament. Before doing any more activity GO SEE A KNEE SPECIALIST. Some people indeed live without the ACL, but if you want to continue sports actively it usually requires an operation. I tore mine and it is 100 better now that I have gotten it fixed.

A woman who I work with has this brace thing on her left leg. I'm curious what exactly it is, what it's called and why she has to wear it but it would be rude of me to ask. So if anyone knows please tell me.

Its a brace, ie metal rod which runs up one side of her leg only(left). At the bottom it's attached to some sort of wide strap which wraps arround her ancle and goes under the shoe just before the heel. At the top it's attached to a band which goes arround her leg just below the knee. There's a couple of buckles that tighten it up too. She seems to walk ok but with a slight limp. Thats all I know.

What did i do to my leg?

during my soccer game yesterday, im a goalie, i slid in front of a girl and she ran into my leg, or possibly kicked it. it was right above my knee. it hurt instantly but i stayed in the game, i just had to hobble around. today i took advil and iced the leg but its still noticeably swollen above my knee and on the top inside of it. its weird, theres only a small bruise about 2 inches above my knee. it is very painful to walk and i have a very very noticeable limp and sometimes when im walking/standing my leg kind of like buckles or spasms or something. during basketball i got hit around the same area on the same leg but it definitely didnt hurt this much. what could i have done?

You really have no choice but to get this checked out by a physician. It could just be trauma and swelling and you need to give the leg a break OR it could be something else. Injury to ACL, muscle, tendon, patella, etc. Knees can be easily injured and not getting them treated will only complicate things in the future. Rarely can you ignore a knee injury and not pay for it somewhere in the future.

Reply:It sounds like you might have torn something. Ice should help keep the swelling down, also try keep from using it as much as you can. A visit to the doctor's would be a good idea to make sure it's something that will heal properly on its own.

Hardwood flooring?

I had some water get under some new hardwood flooring and was wondering if it is very complicated to repair this. It is now dry as it has been over a year sense it happened, but still has some buckles that need to taken out. can you just nail it and countersink the nail heads or do you need to take it up and replace the bad ones. It's not going to be easy doing that for sure.

I used to get that too - then an ace trainer I had told me it is cause I leant back when going forward - haha - bingo - once I corrected that, the pain vanished ! Must have been the pressure of the back of the boot and my combined body weight digging into the calf !

Try consciously pushing your weight forward more - even when cruising downhill not doing anything in particular - and see if it helps !

Reply:are you curling your toes? you could be...are you pulling up on your toes untill the shin is tired? If you don't ski much its probably muscle fatigue trying to balance. So slim those not so petite calfs down or bear the pain and unbuckle at the bottom after each run, look at some of the racers they crank the buckles only to let em off first thing at the bottom. If you feet are moving around in the boots you will be making things really tired and sore. skiing is harder than it looks and harder than you remember.

My friend's daughter participates in rodeos. She has lots of western type belts with big buckles--She loves to wear them but they can really break out her stomach. What can she do?

I have a similar problem; I can't wear jewelry unless it's made of stainless steel or surgical steel (essentially the same thing). Nothing to be done about it; has to do with the acids in the skin.

She can experiment with different metals and see which one tends to not react with her skin. I suspect, though, that she'll wind up like me - stainless steel or not at all.

Reply:...As already answered...protect the skin from the buckle..if these are special championship buckles, she might check into having platinum coat put on the back...if she can tolerate platinum that is.and the expense......also another metal has been suggested to me, because on occasion my gold rings do the same...not sure , but think was rhodium...an allergist or fine jeweler can give you more info.

The best way to describe what it feels like is what I would imagine a knee out of joint would feel like. When I walk, sometimes it feels like it "buckles" and is giving me a considerable amount of pain. It is also kind of stiff and hard to move at times.

I think that I am a month or so pregnant. Would anything like that be a side affect? What is the best way I can help it or make it better?

Reply:I had similiar symptoms when I was pregnant. It ended up being bursitis of my knee. Being pregnant just aggravated it. I tried the cold packs and tylenol but that didn't help it got to the point to where I could not even walk. I ended up getting a corticosteroid shot in my knee when I was about 4 months along. It hasn't given me much problem since. I would tell your doctor about it and see what they think it is and the best treatment is.

I moved 3 months ago, I'm at a new job, I have met some really great people and this really awesome guy. There's an age gap between us and I'm older. He's really into me, I can tell this by his actions and reactions with me. We hang outside of work and have a good time. He is very affectionate toward me, and co-workers have talked of feeling tension between us and that since I began working there he has done a complete 360 for the better. He actually told a co-worker we were dating. When I begin to talk with him about the possibility of there being an "us" he buckles up and walks away. This evening we were on the phone and he pretty much told me that he's not interested in me, and said he was going to call it a night. I know tomorrow when we're at work, he's going to be up the same antics.

I've never dealt with a situation like this. Am I being misled? Is he afraid of the age or of making a move? I fell for him! any advice? please?

My symptoms are peripheral neuropathy, high blood pressure, headaches, severe aches and pains, hard to swallow,feel like I'm choking, dehydrated though I drink lots of water, 24 hour urine test indicated Pheochromocytoma. MRI said no tumour on adrenal glands. Carpal tunnel, radial nerve damage, leg buckles out from under me, Had not been able to walk for a month, got better, then had drop wrist, getting better after a month. Doctor tests says I'm fairly healthy. No diabetes, No thyroid problem, blood tests all normal. My symptoms come and go. My feet go through cycles of turning really red and going back to normal. My eyesight has gotten a lot worse lately. My hearing is worse but a hearing test said hearing was normal. Sometimes I shake like I have Parkinsons. Long list of conditons were eliminated. I am having an MRI for my brain this week. What else could it be?

does anyone know the song from the bourne identity... when marie( the red headed girl) and jason bourne( the guy sitting next to her in the car) they like are in maries car( which is red) and theyre running from the cops. it starts when jason bourne says like somthing about marie going to the cops and then she buckles in her seat belt... then he says somthing about the tires being splashy and asks if she takes care of her car. and then it ends when they pull into like some sort of a driveway to escape the cops. and then jason says "we can never come back to this car". But everytime someone from the city is asked about what they think of that look, they don't ever give it a chance and always think it's trashy. I do believe that it has to do with what hand you use. If you are right handed then it goes on the left for your right hand to guide the other end into the buckle. If you are left handed it goes on the right.

Is Ash good for hardwood Floors?

Putting hardwood in throughout the house, was leaning towards red oak but was told by flooring guy the it often buckles after a few years, trying to steer us towards Ash... anyone have experience with Ash floors? any good or bad points? Please let me know.

I would look into use Ipe (Brazilian Walnut) it's many times harder than domestic hardwoods.
Reply:If you spill anything on ash and it happens on a bare spot, that spot'll be there forever.

I'd go with white oak.
Reply:Ash is a very hard, stable wood, with a fairly open grain. It is one of the woods traditionally used for baseball bats. I can't imagine any reason it would not make a good floor. It is lighter in and more neutral in color than red oak, which might be a decorating advantage.

On the other hand, the white oak floors in my house are over 100 years old with no sign of buckling.
Reply:i think ash is very overated. if you look at a Janka hardness scale it shows that Ash is only 30 points above red oak (Ash is 1320 ans ROak is 1290) which is not very much of a difference. where I am ROak is the most popular but it also handles the climate where I am better. Ash also has a slight yellowish tint to it which is not going to get any better especially if you get it finished with an oil based finish. The oil tends to yellow more and quicker, so be careful in color choice so that you dont end up eventually with a very yellow floor.

I have never heard of metal picking up a smell but I would try cleaning it with some Bon Ami and a soft cloth. Or baking soda and a soft cloth. Try polishing it up and see if that helps.

Thread the belt through the wire loop. Turn it back on itself and hand or machine stitch it into place.

I don't know of any way to attach it without stitching it to the buckle.

coming from a catholic back ground i believe that when married a husband and wife become one. there cannot be more than two people. i cant believe any religion can agree to this.

I listed my condo for sale 2 years ago December. January I informed the Hoa and mangmt co that there was a leak from the roof as the water was coming through the condo. It took them form January till August to fix the problem in which time the value of homes started dropping. When All was supposedly fixed, I had an offer that was almost 50k less than original price, however as we were going through the inspection the ceiling in condo buckles. It took them months to fix, I lost the offer as new owner didn;t want to purchase dmgd home. By the time the ceiling was fixed, the market had dropped again %26amp; I had to sell home at 60k less than originally listed. In the meantime my reverse exchange expired %26amp; I had to purchase 2 properties instead of 1. I had to pay for repairs over %26amp; over, paid my realtor to manage work, loss of rent for 2 years, had to take loan because of 1031 exchange, constant hassles from hoa %26amp; mngmt...Per accountant I should ask for a lot, no lawyer, I am broke HELP

Sounds like you need to talk to a lawyer vs answers.
Reply:i agree with getting a lawyer if your damages are that high. find one that will work on contingency, which means they get paid a portion of your winnings if you win, and nothing if you don't.
